Camilo Garza is a Mexican artist whose work has evolved through various trades over the past 20 years. In the year 2000, he began to delve into photography professionally, by 2007 he was already working with graphic design, and from 2012 to 2015 he continued with audiovisual production. In 2014, he began his artistic residency in sculptor Jorge Elizondo‘s workshop where he professionalized his work as a sculptor and learned to work with different types of materials, and to master others that he already knew.
Currently, Garza lives and works in his hometown: Monterrey, Mexico. His workshop is located in the La Huasteca National Park, which, with its large mountains and unique rock formations, it is not surprising that it is a great influence and source of inspiration for the sculptor‘s work. His work is currently part of numerous collections both private and public, among which stand out the Cemex Collection, the Visa Desarrollos collection, and more recently the Collection of the Vicente Ferrara Foundation for which he created a 20-meter marble mural.
